Hello, this is my first post on this website. I started collecting Honda Ridgeline MB's as I own a full-size one. Collecting the Ridgeline MB is popular on the Honda Ridgeline forums.

A few days ago i picked up a mislabeled Ridgeline MB and wanted to know from those who are familiar with this occurrence with Matchbox how often does this happen? and is this worth something on the collector's market? I'll try to post a pic. Thanks for any comments or advice. I've got a bunch of MB's in a carrying case from the early 70's I need to pull out and go through. Sorry, I can't figure out how to show the pic in the post, please click the link.

Hello and welcome aboard.  The Honda Ridgeline is a pretty cool model to collect, and is one of my current fave pick-ups.  I really enjoying getting these.   They have made a good number of these, and if you are someone like me who looks for smaller variations for increasing the collection, there is quite a lot to go for.

Now you did ask about the error package.  This is actually quite a common thing.  Matchbox has quite a habit of putting models in the wrong packs.  There is very little to be added to the value of a model in finding it in an error pack.  You would be lucky to get an additional $1 over one in the correct pack.  I have in the past purchased Matchbox model in the wrong packs and just opened them anyway.  These types of errors are just not collectible.  It is the same with wheel errors.  They are so common nowadays that people only really get them for the novelty value rather than as a collectible item.

I hope that helps.

:) :D :P
